Veeco has two business segments:

LED & Solar Process Equipment

We provide best-in-class Process Equipment technologies primarily to manufacturers of high brightness light emitting diodes (LEDs) and solar cells.

  • Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) systems for LEDs, power electronics and CPV solar cells
  • Thermal deposition sources for CIGS (Copper, Indium, Gallium and Selenium) solar cells
  • Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) systems and sources for the production of compound semiconductor devices and leading-edge materials research for CPV solar cells, high-power lasers, wireless and optical communications

Data Storage Process Equipment

Veeco is the world's leading equipment supplier to hard disk drive (HDD) manufacturers for the production of thin film magnetic heads. Our products enable higher areal density - the amount of data that can be stored - and improve yield and uniformity.  We supply both “front” and “back-end” technologies including:

  • Ion Beam Etch (IBE) and Ion Beam Deposition (IBD)
  • Ion Sources and Controllers
  • Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)
  • Diamond-like Carbon (DLC)
  • Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)
  • Lapping and Dicing Equipment

Technology solutions from this group are also used in the MEMs, sensors, optical coatings, and semiconductor photomask industries.

当社は薄膜磁気ヘッド製造装置をHDDメーカーへ供給するリーディングカンパニーです。当社の装置は、高い面密度を可能とし、歩留まり率と均一性を改善することにより、生産性の向上を実現します。フロントエンド・バックエンド双方に対する技術サポートを提供します。
